What a great start to the Montreal yelp elite events!
La Drinkerie was a cozy, comfortable venue (I LOVE exposed brick anything), the crowd was great, staff was friendly, and the finger food was delish (especially the sliders and the chèvre canapés!). Great nonprofit organization, too.

This was my first visit to the Drinkerie, and my first Yelp event. I was very pleased on both fronts. The place is has a cool vibe as did the guests and hosts. I was able to sample the "horsedovers" which were yummy, and a very nice change from the usual boring bar food you usually find at these events.
However the drinks were the biggest surprise to moi, when I first saw the menu and realized that bourbon and rye were the theme I was ascared given I never drink either and was sure that the taste would not work for me. But in the spirit of discover I went for it or should I say, I asked the very friendly bartender which one would hurt the least. I cannot remember the name he mention (shame on me), but I can tell you he suggested I go for the one with mango syrup, and apple, and explained the mango would cover the taste I expected not to like.
Well lo and behold not only was he right, but now I have a new fancy cocktail to order, and a new go to place to visit with friends. I had a limited time there as I had to leave early the next morning but I still managed to have two of these uniquely delicious cocktails.
Of course once I had ordered the second one, I saw another cocktail being served with a fresh Rosemary sprig which made very curious, I love fresh herbs being used in all things, including cocktails, so I guess I will have to go back and try this one.

Another fantastic event put on by the Montreal Yelp team. The Hors d'oeuvres were tasty, the artistic impression was interesting, the staff @ La Drinkerie were great and the booze was plentiful...an all around good time.

Cool place! Was my first time here, and my first yelp event. I had a great time. The little bits were good, but some of the bread tasted really pasty and old. The mini burgers were great. Do not go here hungry, its not a place to eat, only to munch on.
The drinks were limited, I tried 2 and they are not shy on the liquor ;)
The menu is short and simple. Nothing to fancy, very decent prices!
You can come here for a good time with friends, the music does get loud, so
you are shouting to communicate with others.
The place is nice and tidy, not that big can accommodate about 75 people. They have a coat check service, and the waiters /staff are really friendly. -

This was my first time here at La Drinkerie and I will most certainly be back. It is a quick hop, skip and a jump to the orange line on the Metro and the vibe was a good one. This Yelp event has all the makings of a good night: great h'ors d'oeurves, good tunes, fun people, boozy drinks and name tags! The staff were fun, helpful and downright awesome and I cannot wait for the next Elite event: bring it on Yelp!
